Year 2016 - Valarie Gelb
On September 30th, 2016 at the IWF Leadership Conference in Chicago, Valarie Gelb, IWFCT President Emeritus was one of the 12 Women from around the world recipient of the award "2016 Women Who Make A Difference".
Valarie was recognized as a value-based global leader of high personal integrity who truly makes a difference through mentorship, transformative ideas and creative energy to champion and advocate for women and girls.

Year 2003 - Kay Maxwell
On October 25th, 2003 at the IWF Leadership Conference in Toronto, Canada, Kay Maxwell, President of the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS), was one of the 12 Women from around the world recipient of the "2003 Women Who Make a Difference".
Kay was recognized as one of the 12 women leaders whose vision, commitment and contributions have opened doors and improved prospects for other women. Her international community service led her to become an active participant in the U.S. Department of State’s International Speakers Program. She has traveled to Israel, the West Bank, Rwanda, Kuwait and Jamaica, to conduct civic participation training sessions for women political, NGO and business leaders.
